McCrea Subaru Helps Pets in Humboldt at Sequoia Humane Society - Kelsey B
Through our partnership with McCrea Subaru in Eureka, we hosted an adoption event throughout the month of October. We are proud to say that 40 pets were adopted! Thanks to McCrea Subaru, we were able to make the difference in the lives of so many pets. We are so grateful for the support!
Sampson's Success Story - Kelsey S
McCrea Subaru helped make one of our most heartwarming adoptions take place. During the last week of the event, a loving family expressed interest in our special needs cat, Sampson. Sampson is positive for FIV, along with a few other conditions, so his care is a little more involved than some cats. Despite this, it was clear that Sampson belonged in a home, and could provide the perfect companion for someone looking to own a single cat. Sampson was a shelter favorite for sure, especially after residing in the shelter for an extended period of time due to his special medical needs, and everyone knew he gave the best hugs! Once his forever family walked through the doors, it didn't take the staff too long to figure out that they were the perfect match. Everyone shared a celebratory cry as they said their goodbyes to Sampson because we knew this family would not be returning Sampson! We couldn't be happier with the outcome for Sampson and his new adoptive family, and we are so grateful to McCrea Subaru for allowing us this opportunity to participate in the grant event - it made a difference for so many pets in our shelter, Sampson included.
Angus & His Adoption - Kelsey S
Subaru has made a huge impact on Sequoia Humane Society and the work we do. During the month of October, Subaru helped make possible adoptions for 14 cats and dogs in our shelter by providing financial support for vital services like vaccines, pet food, medical care, and more! Among those pets was a cat named Tucker at the shelter, but now named Angus by his adopter. Angus arrived at Sequoia Humane Society through a transfer from another shelter so that he could have a better chance at life and a forever home. Tucker joined the shelter at the end of September this year and left just one month later to start his new life as a feline family member. We are so excited for Tucker/Angus and his new adopter, and are grateful to Subaru for the opportunity to join forces to save more pets! Thank you, Subaru!
