Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Blanket Delivery - Kofo M
On June 26th, McCrea Subaru and the LLS Northern California chapter had the pleasure of delivering 80 blankets to Providence St. Joseph Hospital as part of the Subaru Loves To Care program. These comforting gifts were accompanied by personalized messages of hope written by the customers and staff of McCrea Subaru. This incredible act of generosity was warmly received by the Providence St. Joseph Hospital staff, who were thrilled to distribute these comforting gifts to their patients. Being able to deliver a small gesture of comfort to patients perfectly captures why this program exists. Many thanks to McCrea Subaru and Providence St. Joseph Hospital, not only for a memorable day, but for supporting LLS's mission to cure blood cancers and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
McCrea Subaru Supports The Betty Kwan Chinn Homeless Foundation - Joshua S
Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Eureka, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why McCrea Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like McCrea Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 02/07/2025, McCrea Subaru donated 120 coats to The Betty Kwan Chinn Homeless Foundation. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.

For the third consecutive year, Providence St. Joseph Eureka's Cancer Program received a delivery of blankets from Subaru Cares. Subaru Cares partners with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) and local hospital or cancer treatment centers to give warm blankets and encouraging messages of hope, written by retailers and Subaru customers in their stores, to support patients facing cancer. Through partnership with LLS, they've supported nearly 350,000 cancer patients nationwide and are proud to be LLS’s largest automotive donor. During the McCrea Subaru Loves Pets event, I visited the local animal shelter and after spending some time with her, I knew she was meant to be part of our family. The adoption process during the event was smooth and joyful, and soon enough, we were bringing her home. Over time, she blossomed into a confident, loving companion, and it's been incredibly rewarding to see her transformation. This experience not only deepened my appreciation for McCea Subaru's commitment to animal welfare but also reinforced the idea that sometimes the best things in life come when we least expect them.
